Once the debate is over, both sides typically shake hands and wait for the judge to make his/her decision. Depending on how close the judge sees the debate, he/she can take from 0-5 minutes to make a decision. Then the judge can spend 5-10 minutes talking to each team telling them what they did well and what the did poorly on. In Break Rounds, there is often three judges instead of just one.
